Our featured guest will be Alicia Garza, co-creator of #BlackLivesMatter, Special Projects Director for the National Domestic Workers Alliance, and LeftRoots member. We’ll explore the origins of #BlackLivesMatter, its relationship to the Black Liberation Movement, and the critical questions facing Black communities nationally and internationally. We will also tackle the question of whether #BlackLivesMatter is a moment or a movement, and what we can do as revolutionaries and leftists to forward a liberation agenda for Black lives and all lives.
